HouseBuyFast: Featured in August

August always brings a smile to my face. The evenings are a little bit cooler, and autumn’s subtle hints at what lies ahead make this month so much more exciting than other months in the year! Soon all the suitcases will be unpacked and hidden away waiting for another adventure. Only few grains of sand and an ice-lolly stick in shorts pocket will remind us about all of the memories we’ve made this summer.

While everyone’s been enjoying the sunshine HouseBuyFast has been on a mission to make house-moving as simple and straightforward for their clients as possible. The whole month, the main topic of conversation was the cost of living crisis and the anticipation of the new energy price cap announced by Ofgem last Friday. It’s an extremely worrying time for many.  Worth noting that for the first time we have seen a gentle dip in house prices. Interesting to observe where is the market headed. Our property expert and spokesman for the NAPB Jonathan Rolande went above and beyond to share his best practices on how to save money at home and add value to your property.

In case you missed it, the local and national news outlets have been featuring us in their coverage lately. Here’s a recap:

Essex Magazine

The whole picture is at this stage, more of a slowdown in growth than an actual drop in prices. Rightmove commented that the reduction is in line with traditional summer price trends from the previous decade.

Fewer applications are being received and less are being decided upon. Given we are in the midst of a housing crisis which has left many unable to get a foot on the ladder, these figures are concerning.

Before showing your property to potential buyers, consider the temperature – it should be around 20 degrees in each room, even those you don’t use. Be sure to clean windows inside and out too to let in the maximum amount of natural light.

From renting out your spare room, turning an unused area into a storage facility, to putting a car-parking space up for rent, you could literally earn thousands a year and transform your finances. It’s not just property owners who can benefit. Those in rental property could too.
